Aussie Veterans Brewing Hope – Wild Timor Coffee

Aussie Veterans Brewing Hope

I recently had the pleasure of speaking to John McNeill, the founder of Aussie Veterans, who popped in for a Wild Timor Coffee latte.

We talked about his current and upcoming projects with the company, including their prestigious coffee company which started in December 2017 and continues to gain traction.

The Aussie Veterans company was founded with the vision of building a Health and Wellness centre for Australian army veterans. This would be a place where veterans can come and experience relief from anxiety and illness, a place of warmth, care and safety. This vision is still the driving force and every step brings them closer to this goal.

They began the Aussie Veterans Coffee Co as a project that would help them to back this dream financially whilst also providing employment for veterans who were out of work. They provide great tasting coffees, premium teas and hot chocolates.

The Aussie Veterans Coffee Co crew can be found regularly at the Mulgrave farmers Market (http://www.mulgravefarmersmarket.com.au/) Their pop up shop features tea tastings and also offers free hot chocolates to kids. John was telling me how supportive the market community has been, with the "Yoga with Nadira" stallholders even offering shelter in their yoga studio at the market should any of the veterans present experience anxious symptoms while working.

We're excited for their new brand of teas and hot chocolate, Two Little Ladies, featuring a beautiful Masala chai blend.  John is brewing some great creative plans for TLL, and told me a little bit about what's coming next, including a diverse range of Chai flavours. (I hear whispers there may be a Honeycomb flavour on the cards!)

The next event on the horizon for the Aussie veterans is the opening of a coffee shop in The Mall Boronia just next to their Aussie Veterans op shop. They'll be showcasing their wonderful range of teas, hot chocolate and coffee alongside decadent high teas.

Wild Timor is proud to support them in their new ventures and we invite you guys to follow their progress with us!
